Sunset approach

Approaching 18R in Alabama twilight.

Here we have a flight on approach to HSV for a landing on 18Right, the time-exposure catching the strobe lights as they pass behind a tree at Dublin Park in Madison (click the pic for a bigger one). The clouds had some promise earlier for sunset color, but clouds further west limited the dazzle of the show tonite. This color was very subtle, as this was about a 15 second exposure to bring it out. You can see some stars starting to show up. The next shot you can clearly see Orion and Sirius (click for a bigger pic). This was only about 9 minutes later, but about a 20 second exposure. I love makin pictures in the dark.
